Welcome to our Web! Relaunched 1st January 2008.

Lions Club of Prai has been having its website since 1997 - quite a long way back for a Club in Malaysia. The name of LionsPrai.org has been used since the very beginning.

Our website, like many others, faced the same fate of ups and downs. In some years it was neglected and even went without a hosting company. We have also tried the free build-it-yourself website but options were limited.

Editing and updating information are always the main hurdle for providing up-to-date information to Club members, causing the website to be stale rather than a virtue place to disseminate information fast. We rely on the hosting company to change even a single word.

10 years later in 2007, with the embarkation of a new member who is an experienced web programmer, the Club has taken step to revamp the website. It is now powered by CMS or Client Management software that allows end-user from editing information to setting up the structure to even controlling our own databases and assign password. In fact, ordinary man without any web programming knowledge like many of us can set up the whole thing here including database, interesting?

We will continue to improve the system which may include, in the short future, chat room and networking capabilities to cater for and attract the young "e-class" generation to our Club. In fact, all our existing members are quite E-class too.
